About CAMO
CAMO is a non-profit volunteer organization and a TASBO Affiliate providing educational & networking opportunities for staff from local School Districts and other maintenance professionals which serves the Greater Austin, Texas area.
CAMO stands for Capital Area Maintenance & Operations. We provide monthly educational luncheon meetings starting at 11am. Networking with other school districts & vendor members starts 30min before each meeting. Typically, a vendor member teaches on a topic related to the type of business they provide. Topics range from Maintenance Best Practices, HVAC, Custodial, Major Construction, security, design guidelines, etc.
The annual Vendor Fair & Trade show is held in April. During the Vendor Fair we also present our yearly donation to the TASBO Scholarship fund. Our 2022 donation was $10,000.00 (nice job to the board in the 1st new normal year). In 2019 we donated $10,000. & 2018 we donated $8000.00. From 2017 to 2013, we donated $6,000 each year. In 2012, we donated $3,000.

Before each educational meeting there is 30 min of networking time to talk with your other school districts or ask vendors

After a brief hiatus for the pandemic we're starting back in 2022! Our next one is April 21, 2023 at Reunion Ranch 10 am - 2pm.
